I just had a +5 Acolyte's Scythe drop from the first golem at the observatory, first one after leaving the elevator from sanctuary.
Once you've gotten used to the attack animations it becomes a much better weapon. Overall weaker compared to most of the other weapons, its reach and attack flow are probably second to none. It does have weak scaling though, so be prepared to save all of your upgrade items in order to beef it up early game, or just make do until you make it to Y'loth where you can find an upgraded variant.
This weapon has very good reach and can pass through some enemies that block with shields rather than bounce off, but it does not scale well into late game IMO.
Can be dropped by enemies, and laying around on journey's end.
