Xyarlohatp is a Boss in Death's Gambit. The secret boss of Ending A, located within the Migration Chamber of Garde Tum. Accessing his fight requires 5 Fragments of an Exiled God, and the Crimson Egg.

A being of unknown origin and fleeting corporeal form. It never stays in one location for long, seemingly disappearing from existence with a flash. But, in its wake, it leaves behind ash of two colors.

It seems the ash is tied to time. One for the future, and the other for the past. The number left behind determines how many hours it has transitioned. But whether it stays in Siradon or elsewhere, who could tell?

Heroic Attacks

  • Master of Time. Upon reaching the next Phase Marker, Xyarlohatp will leave behind dust,  then travel back or forwards in time. On the PC version, you must change your date and time settings. On the Switch version, you must enter the number of hours you wish to travel into the portal. (the numbers of hours it travelled is indicated by the number of dust he left behind him, you must travel the same numbers of hour on pc)
    • Red Dust means he has travelled backwards in time.
    • Blue Dust means he has travelled forwards in time.
  • Tentacle Portal. Xyarlohatp creates a portal in-front of Sorun, that flashes before shooting out a spike. He will repeat this four times, where on the fourth time the portal will move to the opposite side of Sorun. Each phase, he creates more and faster moving Tentacle Portals.
  • Tentacle Spikes. Xyarlohatp covers the ground in tentacle portals, where spikes will soon erupt out of. Safespots are found in the thin parts of the edges of the portal.
  • Color Orb. Xyarlohatp creates a white orb, and throws it towards Sorun for large damage. It shifts a small portion of the arena to the opposite color.
  • Melee Rush. Xyarlohatp descends towards Sorun and attacks with the following attacks in order.
    • Tentacle Lunge. Xyarlohatp turns one of his arms into a tentacle that launches towards Sorun for high damage.
    • Claw Flurry. Xyarlohatp turns his arms into claws and spins around, dealing damage in a close range to himself.
  • Plumedrain. Xyarlohatp, upon receiving enough damage to switch phase, will take one of Sorun's plumes, and fully heal himself.
  • Master of Space. Xyarlohatp shifts the arena into either a box or a rectangle, and performs one of the following attacks.
  • Rings. Fake 3D rings of damaging orbs will begin to move towards Sorun.
  • Lines. Small glowing icons will appear on the screen, identical to the ones that Sorun must interact with in order to receive an ability. Lines of damaging white energy will come from them.
  • White Line. Xyarlohatp, upon entering Phase 3, creates a white line that is anchored on Sorun, while firing white projectiles towards him from both sides of the screne.
  • Eye Rush. Xyarlohatp, upon entering Phase 4, shifts into a monstrous eye that begins dashing towards Sorun at angles.

Strategy

  • Xyarlohatp is resistant to all elemental damage, meaning elemental neutral weapons should be used.

Trivia

If you're a mage, I highly recommend you to use the Amulvaro's Spell Blade against this boss, it's pretty effective.

Just beat him tonight, really cool boss fight! For some reason I got the trophy for beating all the heroic bosses after I beat him (personally missing Bysurge, EC and Endless)

He's pretty squishy so fight him 2-3 times to learn the fight mechanics, go in with zero plumes and put those gaia leaves to use. If you're on a finesse build the Valkyrie Spear with triple jump is useful to deal high air attack damage.
