Amarog Key is one of the Key Items in Death's Gambit. Items can be acquired through out the game and they generally provide bonuses to various Stats or can be used to provide various benefits, or even open doors.
The Amarog have been enslaving wanderers and using them as sacrificial lambs for some kind of ritual to resurrect the Kaern. Death seems to be a transitory state for them, sustaining their longevity through harvesting souls.
Amarog Key Location
- After you defeat Tundra Lord Kearn, it will be directly to the left of the boss room, in a room right next to where you find Zuma
- In the Death's Gambit Afterlife Expansion, the key may be encountered left of Central Sanctuary. The area towards the Scorching Corridor. Keep upwards of the map and you will encounter Grimgaud and Nymeria. Continue through the same path, and an enemy will drop the Armaog Key.
Amarog Key Notes & Tips
- Use the Key to release Grimgaud and Nymeria, to have access to their stock and meet them at Central Sanctuary.
AnonymousYou have to go upwards for the key in afterlife. Just go up until the way divided, then dont go left (soul of phoenix boss is there) go right and climb a bit more. There are some invisible ground at the end you'll see 2 npc's which teach you some skills. Continue right kill the hammer amarog. Key is at the end.

Zuma is to the left of the central hub, on the cliff.
They seem to have moved the key in Afterlife, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

I’m so annoyed. I assumed I still needed to kill Kaern to get the key. By the time I figured out that was NOT the case I was so late in the game that the second they were released, I found them dead in the Sanctuary!
